This special initiative was created by Alex to turn pieces of his own touring history into meaningful support for two causes close to his heart. Net proceeds will benefit The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Each Collector Strings package features a set of guitar strings played on stage by Alex Lifeson during Rush’s Fifty Something Tour, presented as a unique collectible from the tour.

The original string package, personally signed by Alex, and identifying the date the strings were changed and the guitar on which Alex played them
An exclusive Alex/Rush collector bag featuring “The Bag” — a memorable piece of artwork from Alex’s wonderfully strange past
A special card featuring a personal message from Alex about the charitable initiative
No two sets tell quite the same story. Each represents time spent on one of Alex’s guitars during the Fifty Something Tour and comes directly from the touring operation.
