This greatest hits collection sums up the latter portion of the band's career. Containing cuts from albums released between 1981 and 1987, this is a slice of the history that often annoys old-school fans of Rush epics, and delights those that prefer the tighter songwriting that came with the band's departure from the progressive-rock era. The mesmerizing Mystic Rhythms, the bleak Subdivisions and the urgent Time Stand Still should be enough to tempt any neophyte Rush fans to dig back into the complete original albums.
