72 Stories From the Collection of Geddy Lee is an autographed, limited-edition book available exclusively from Rush Backstage. This 160-page, cloth-bound coffee table book features Geddy Lee sharing the stories behind some of his favorite items from his extensive baseball memorabilia collection. The book comes encased in a red cloth-bound slipcase and includes an exclusive, custom-made Geddy Lee baseball, created specifically for this project.
Geddy Lee might be considered as baseball's unofficial Rock and Roll Ambassador. His love for the game has been evident throughout his five decades in the spotlight - whether he's sitting behind home plate at Toronto Blue Jays games, attending MLB games across the country, or singing the national anthem at the 1993 All-Star Game in Baltimore. In his book, Geddy recounts the stories behind 72 unique pieces of baseball memorabilia he has collected over the years.
"Baseball was in my bones long before music started to seriously divert my attention."
"Through the eighties I was absolutely mad for the game, devoting much of my spare time to learning the nuances of the gameplay and who the current players were, devouring reference books, biographies and novels about the sport..."
"Those game-used baseballs brought me closer to the athletes, transporting me right onto the field during their moments of triumph and failure. I fell in love with the idea that baseballs could tell a story."
No worries if you're not able to purchase one of the limited editions, as a regular edition will be widely available in the Spring of 2025 published by HarperCollins. Get it here too at Rush Backstage!

I saw Ged’s collection in NYC last December. Unbelievable. I have listened to Rush for 50 years. Getting to know him and the band through their personal passions outside work is the best! Can’t wait to turn this treasure page-by-page.
