I have finally after a very long wait do to shipping problem received my album set. This set is amazing and very exciting to get as the live segments are only 10 years older that myself. I am now off to purchase a new turntable for the unboxing event.

The sound quality is exceptional and I remember attending that concert in person! The ordering process was not very smooth. Took a long time to receive. When it did show up I had to pay customs as it came from USA. Found this insulting as Rush is a Canadian Band. But despite all this, happy I’ve got the records.

Very nicely presented and the sound quality is top notch. I purchased this primarily for the live albums since this was one full concert back in 81 at the end of their tour that takes me back to my high school days. The mix is wonderful for a live show and the clarity on the instruments as they play is quite astounding given it was recorded 40 years ago. Actually had goosebumps listening to it. I was particularly blown away at the sound of Neil's drums at the start of 2112, really transporting me to that monster bass sound you hear in a loud live arena show. 2 reasons for 4/5 stars. 1, I have a bit of manufacturing gunk on side 8 that has been hard to remove, although minus one bump of my needle it hasn't distracted from the sound much. 2, I wonder if they could have reduced the number of albums for the live show. It is a delicate balance of quality vs length per side I know (plus they have long songs that you don't want split), but it does seem that it could have been condensed so I am not having to get up and flip an album in only 12 minutes or so, like the last of the albums in the set. But that is really just a petty complaint. No regrets on the purchase, and the sound quality is top notch.

Great package. Original album has never sounded so good. Live recordings brought back memories of those fantastic concerts

I own all of The Band’s music, and some albums on all 3 major formats. Recently got back into vinyl and the new 40th anniversary box set for Moving Pictures was a must! It’s excellent, the packaging, the music and of coarse the Band - RUSH!!! Thank you

A respectable price, but not the bargain of the century. You have to like listening to Rush live (four live albums out of five) to appreciate the purchase in question here.

Just received it yesterday and one of the best box sets ever! The music of course is stellar but the packaging and booklet are top notch! Easily a 10 out 5! Kudos to RUSH Backstage Club getting me this box here in Canada quickly. Cheers!

Sounds great, but as with everything Rush, a bit pricey for what you get.

Excellent remastering and package deal. Worth the extra bucks over just the single LP. Live show vinyl and the excellent booklet with extraordinary photos and notes in a nice box make it a fantastic experience! As a youth, seeing Rush perform in 1978 and 1981 and more recently the R40 tour makes this box set especially memorable.

Expensive for what you get, the album a live album and booklet. Compare to many other band it is expensive. However , the quality of the vinyl is better than the Permanent vacation box set. I do not think that I would buy it again, just to expensive for what you get.

If you haven’t ordered this yet, RUN DON’T WALK! The vinyl arrived very safely and securely packaged. Upon opening up the box, I discovered a gorgeous box set containing the five albums: the remastered Moving Pictures; plus two gatefold covers with the YYZ Live Show! The records themselves are beautiful, completely flat (no warping); completely clean (no smudges, lint, fingerprints, etc.); and, no scratches. The sound is warm and fills my entire room; almost like Geddy, Alex and Neil are across the room, playing live. Obviously, Moving Pictures is an all time great album, which sounds better than ever with this crisp remaster. However, the real treat is the astonishing live show! More than two and a half hours of live Rush magic! Again, the sound is so clear and perfect that it’s easy to imagine my room was a live, albeit very intimate, theater hosting Canada’s greatest export! What a show. Of course, the playing is amazing. The setlist is phenomenally tasty! It is great to finally hear songs from this album not included in previous live recordings! I almost forgot to mention that the package was carefully delivered three days before the tracking originally said it would arrive, so I got to savor the delicious five course meal over a full weekend (it arrived early Saturday morning-less than a full day after its Friday release date-sans expensive rush shipping)! I also purchased the 3cd set for ease of getting it onto my computer, phone and iPod, and am delighted with both purchases! In past I have ordered the bound collection of tour books, as well as the Wandering the Face of the Earth tour diary, and the good folks at Rush Backstage have consistently delivered quality and value for the price in as advertised condition on time or early. I hope they someday release a show from the Tour of the Hemispheres, so I can finally have a live version of my all time favorite Rush song (Cygnus X-1 Book II) but the few parts included in this show are a brilliantly performed, well recorded and lovingly mixed/mastered appetizer. Kudos my Canuck friends! Thanks for allowing me the privilege of almost being there 40 years later!
