If you haven’t ordered this yet, RUN DON’T WALK! The vinyl arrived very safely and securely packaged. Upon opening up the box, I discovered a gorgeous box set containing the five albums: the remastered Moving Pictures; plus two gatefold covers with the YYZ Live Show! The records themselves are beautiful, completely flat (no warping); completely clean (no smudges, lint, fingerprints, etc.); and, no scratches. The sound is warm and fills my entire room; almost like Geddy, Alex and Neil are across the room, playing live. Obviously, Moving Pictures is an all time great album, which sounds better than ever with this crisp remaster. However, the real treat is the astonishing live show! More than two and a half hours of live Rush magic! Again, the sound is so clear and perfect that it’s easy to imagine my room was a live, albeit very intimate, theater hosting Canada’s greatest export! What a show. Of course, the playing is amazing. The setlist is phenomenally tasty! It is great to finally hear songs from this album not included in previous live recordings! I almost forgot to mention that the package was carefully delivered three days before the tracking originally said it would arrive, so I got to savor the delicious five course meal over a full weekend (it arrived early Saturday morning-less than a full day after its Friday release date-sans expensive rush shipping)! I also purchased the 3cd set for ease of getting it onto my computer, phone and iPod, and am delighted with both purchases! In past I have ordered the bound collection of tour books, as well as the Wandering the Face of the Earth tour diary, and the good folks at Rush Backstage have consistently delivered quality and value for the price in as advertised condition on time or early. I hope they someday release a show from the Tour of the Hemispheres, so I can finally have a live version of my all time favorite Rush song (Cygnus X-1 Book II) but the few parts included in this show are a brilliantly performed, well recorded and lovingly mixed/mastered appetizer. Kudos my Canuck friends! Thanks for allowing me the privilege of almost being there 40 years later!
