I have the audiobook and the hardcover already. I'm thinking about getting a second book to read one book and keep the other secured. I'll only open the second book when Geddy signs it. I am giving Geddy five stars.

I got the audible version first this week. What a great book and it’s packed with such amazing and touching stories and reflections and so many aha moments. If you bought the book, get the audio version too it’s such a good listen. Then go back through the entire catalog from start to finish. The bonus songs are a nice touch.

I got the Audible version because I wanted to hear Geddy read it in his own words…and he is an amazing reader! My wife and I just saw his Seattle book tour show with Krist Novoselic as guest interviewer and it was an incredible experience. Geddy is so funny, warm, insightful and humanistic. And not only is he a genius musician, it turns out he’s also a skilled author. They gave everyone at the show a copy of the book along with a cool My Effin’ Life book tour pamphlet containing extra information and photos (I hope Rush Backstage eventually makes this pamphlet available to fans). The book itself is super well made—it’s heavy (printed on quality paper) with loads of photos from Geddy’s childhood and years with Neil and Alex. The cover photo was taken by his wife when Geddy was only 17. A must-have book for Rush fans and anyone interested in rock history.

My Effin Life is an incredible book by an incredible man. I was held captive from the first paragraph to the last word. Geddy has been my rock hero for over 35 years as a musician. After reading his book, he is now my hero of life. From his early life to today, his book tells the story of his hard childhood to his metamorphosis to bass God. Thank you, Geddy for everthing you have given the world. Please continue (with Alex) to share your talent with us. Neil will always be horribly missed, but we have 50 years of music to cherish. You simply must read this book. What an amazing life!!

I ordered this book, then noticed it was available on Audible also. Geddy is the narrator of his book. I ordered both. What a wonderful life story. I read it while it was being narrated to me by its author, Geddy Lee. I seen 53 shows in my lifetime, the last at the MGM in Las Vegas 7/25/2015. An Anniversary present on the 11th row, on the Floor, stage right. I’ll never forget it. Having Geddy tell me his life story (while following along) over 15 hours is exceptional. I recommend this to others, as Geddy is an exceptional narrator, and portrays his mother and relatives voices perfectly in their dialect of English and their Jewish Faith. Reading and listening to the story as told by Geddy. My experience of this book, reading and simultaneously listening to Geddy tell his, his family’s, and Rush’s story, was superlative.

Excellent Memoir from Geddy in which He speaks of the earlier years of His Life and how those experiences helped Him later on into His adult years as a Self taught Musician and Lyricist both, as well. A well written Memoir from start to finish from Rock & Roll's Premier Bassist.. 5-Stars..

Absolutely incredible. His childhood and on forward is mesmerizing and gives me a whole new respect for this artist. The only thing that would make this book better is if it was autographed. Folks y’all are going to love this book.
